The Location

The village of Binley Woods is located in the Rugby Borough of Warwickshire, five miles to the east of central Coventry and 1.5 miles to the west of the village of Brandon. Superb access to the midlands motorway network begins upon the A46 only a matter of minutes away. The M6 is approximately 2.5 miles from the property.

Playgrounds and the glorious woods themselves make this village a very popular family locale.

Among the local amenities and with many just on the doorstop, Binley Woods boasts one public house, a Post Office, a small supermarket, a newsagent, hairdresser, chemist, butcher, dentist, off-licence and Chinese take-away. There is also a village hall that hosts a number of community activities including a drama group and keep fit. The recent opening of The Warwickshire Shopping Park has seen Marks & Spencer, Asda Living and a number of other quality retailers also situated within a few minutes drive.

Binley Woods is sited on what was once part of the Earl Craven’s estate but the village really began to grow in the early post-war years. The adult population now numbers in excess of 2300 people.

Binley Woods’s claim to fame was the sitcom “Keeping Up Appearances”. The village was used as a filming location for the comedy series as home to Hyacinth Bucket. Winston Churchill is rumoured to have slept in Binley Woods once and there is a road named after the former Prime Minister within the village.
